Report a Data Error
Effective August 10, 2026 · Version 1.0
We reproduce public records from SEC IAPD and FINRA BrokerCheck. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix or remove it.
What we can fix
Transcription, matching, and display errors in how we reproduce a record — wrong person matched to a name, stale firm affiliation, a record shown for the wrong CRD, formatting that misstates the record.
What we cannot fix
The official record itself. We do not control SEC IAPD or FINRA BrokerCheck content, and we do not alter the factual content of records we reproduce. If the underlying government record is wrong, it must be corrected at the source:
- Registration and Form U4/ADV data: through your firm's compliance department, via the CRD/IARD system.
- FINRA BrokerCheck: FINRA's BrokerCheck dispute process at brokercheck.finra.org.
- SEC IAPD: adviserinfo.sec.gov.
Once the official record changes, our next refresh will pick it up. You can also ask us to re-pull your record immediately.
How to report
[FORM or CONTACT_EMAIL]. Include the CRD number, the specific field, what it says, what it should say, and a link to the primary-source record if you have one.
Our commitment
We acknowledge within 3 business days. We correct confirmed errors within 10 business days, or explain why we cannot. We log every report and every outcome. There is no charge, and you do not need to be a paying customer — we have none.
